This two semester course examines several different dimensions of Catholic moral teaching. Students will learn about moral decision making, character formation, the Christian understanding of the human person and its implications for morality, the role of conscience in the moral life, and the relationship between personal and social morality. Students will also examine important moral issues relating to social justice, the sanctity of human life, medical ethics, human sexuality, and war. This honors level course is reading and writing intensive, and students are expected to actively contribute to class discussions.
